Meet Our Sista: MacKenna Richardson
Before I ever met MacKenna, I knew her older sister, Mallory, who interned at FUSE, a local advertising agency in Baton Rouge. Mallory used to talk about her little sis who played soccer at Northwestern State University with a light in her eye.
Turns out, Mallory and MacKenna are pretty different (they'll be the first to tell you), but they both have hearts of gold and are genuine to their core.
MacKenna gave her afternoon to SoSis and we instantly connected. This sister's beauty (inside and out) jumps off of the screen and made our new lookbook photos some of our favorites yet. MacKenna models for many local businesses including our friends at Southern Football Tees. She's a natural in front of the camera and required little to no direction from us.
We are so happy to have MacKenna in the SoSis family now! So sistas, meet MacKenna Richardson!
SS: Where are you from and what makes your hometown special?
MR: I am originally from Chicago. I only lived there until I was four, but I still claim it as my hometown because we visit at least twice a year since my extended family still lives there. From going to Wrigley Field, shopping on the Magnificent Mile or walking around Navy Pier, there is so much to do and I just love it there.
SS: What are you studying in school/what did you graduate college in?
MR: I am a marketing major at Louisiana State University.
SS: What is your favorite song right now?
MR: My favorite song right now is "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. You guys should check out Justin Bieber's cover he recently did of it.
SS: What is your guilty pleasure?
MR: My guilty pleasure is reading bad tinder conversations. There is an Instagram page called @tindernightmares that posts the best of the worst conversations. It's hilarious.
SS: What would you do if you weren't afraid?
MR: If I weren't afraid of leaving my family, I would definitely move to a big city like Los Angeles or New York for a couple of years.
SS: What did you want to be when you were a little girl?
MR: I always wanted to be a dentist when I was little...not sure where that came from because I am a total germaphobe.
SS: What is one of your proudest moments/achievements to date? Why?
MR: My proudest moment to date would be getting a scholarship to play soccer at Northwestern State University.
SS: What is your favorite look from the most recent photoshoot?
MR: My favorite look from the shoot is The Sweetest Sound Romper with the bell sleeves. It was the very first thing I tried on and I didn't want to take it off!
