Meet Our Sista: Emilie Hebert

We first met Emilie Hebert after she won the title of Miss LSU 2016. She struck us as a truly driven woman when she reached out to SoSis the same weekend after winning to discuss a partnership. We were hooked.

Emilie is a girl boss. Plain and simple. At just 20 years old, she is a business owner, college student, social media guru and fun-loving sista. She started her own business called, Emilie Eats, as an outlet to share healthy recipes that she has created and to encourage people to eat real food and do their own research so they can make their own educated decisions when it comes to their health. She says her goal is to inspire you to respect and love your body  by nourishing it with whole foods and finding something active that you enjoy. Aside from being a full-time student and successful blogger, Emilie is also the social media manager for MOMables

We're so excited about adding Emilie to the SoSis family and proud of what she's accomplished so far. Keep an eye on this sista, ladies. She's going to go far.

Sistas, meet Emilie Hebert!

SS: Where are you from and what makes your hometown special?
EH: I'm from a town called Cauvin. It’s a small town where everyone knows everyone and you are family no matter what.

SS: What are you studying in school?
EH: I’m a junior at Louisiana State University majoring in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in business.

SS: What is your favorite song right now?
EH: Any song by The 1975.

SS: What is your guilty pleasure?
Spending $5 every now and then on a matcha latte at Whole Foods. It's a thing. Or, basically just spending as much time as Whole Foods as possible.

SS: What would you do if you weren't afraid?
EH: I would risk moving to Chicago right after graduation to continue to grow my business, Emilie Eats, and do what I love.

SS: What did you want to be when you were a little girl?
EH: What did I not want to be? It all had something to do with animals - a marine biologist, a dolphin trainer, a veterinarian. I grew up very ambitious and still am.

SS: What is one of your proudest moments/achievements to date? Why?
EH: My biggest achievement is growing my food blog, EmilieEats.com, over the past year while being a full-time student and working. It just became an official LLC! Who would’ve thought I would be a business owner at 20?

SS: What is your favorite look from the most recent photoshoot?
EH: My favorite look is the Mary Elizabeth Lace Dress! It’s so classy and perfect for a special event. Plus, the off-the-shoulder neckline gives it some sexiness!
