In Love With the Chaos | Mother's Day in the Life of Annie Claire

Sleep late. Enjoy a big breakfast (that I didn't cook). Take an hour (or more) long bubble bath (uninterrupted). Relax. That, my friends, is my Mother's Day wish. Wait a minute, why are you laughing? It's a lot to ask, I know. Will I get it all? Probably not. But as a busy mother of two girls under the age of three, I find myself in love with the chaos.   It's true, those girls keep me on my toes at all times. Even at 3 a.m. when Gracie wakes up to night terrors. Sidenote: does anyone have a remedy for this?   Or when Aubree makes "potion" with my nice (not cheap) Paul Mitchell shampoo. Or when Gracie makes a run for it towards the alter at church. Then, when you try to go after her, she runs faster because she thinks it's funny!  Oh everyone LOVES us at church. We are so entertaining.   Ask anyone who goes by "mom" and they'll tell you, it's not all a walk in the park. It's hard work, physically draining and mentally challenging. But, gosh I wouldn't trade it for the world. I love just listening to Aubree have conversations while Gracie tries to repeat everything. The innocence of their little voices just melts my heart. I love how cuddly and affectionate both of my girls are... they get that from their daddy ;).

What I'm wearing for Mother's Day...

This Mother's Day, I want to wear white. I know, I know. I'm nuts.  There will probably be some kind of juice, icing or colored substance on me before I even walk out the door, but gosh darn it, I want to wear white.
