Pura Vida! A Costa Rican Honeymoon

Pura vida  is a  Costa Rican phrase that literally means pure life, full of life, this is living!, going great or real living. This month, "pura vida" is the perfect phrase to explain the fairytale I've been living in. Hello friends! I feel like it's been a while since my hiatus from the SoSis blog. It's been fun to unplug a bit and let myself enjoy all of the happenings around me, but I'm back and ready to tell you all about it! On April 11th, I married the sweetest guy and had the most perfect wedding in the world (but, I'm not biased at all). I just love that guy. There will be more where that came from later when I blog a full recap for you using the photos taken by the effortlessly talented Catherine Guidry. This past Saturday marked TWO whole weeks that  Robert and I have been married. One of these two weeks was spent in Costa Rica on our honeymoon. It. Was. Amazing. NO big deal.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3507" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Of course, lots of SoSis came along for the trip too. And many dinners took place. Here we are after one perfect seafood night where the chef prepared fresh seafood he caught the day before. I'm wearing our We're Blushing Culottes.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3496" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Breakfast. Every morning. On our patio. Right outside of our villa. I could get used to this.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3499" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Even though it rained every day, it didn't change any plans or get in the way of really anything. Zip lining in the rain? Check.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3500" align="aligncenter" width="650"] After rushing to get ready for dinner one night, we had quite possibly one of the best meals of the trip - a five course wine tasting dinner. Y'all. All I can say is good thing this Secret Garden Gauze Maxi Dress is flowy.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3497" align="aligncenter" width="650"] Just hanging out.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3503" align="aligncenter" width="650"] We left the rainforest (reluctantly) mid-way through our trip and headed to white sand. It was just about a three hour drive with many stops along the way to get to the beach! I'm wearing our In Bloom Printed Shorts with a simple white tee.[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_3505" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Please excuse the roughness, but I had to take my obligatory pic for my Varsity Sports friends. This was after yoga on the beach, not a real run. Need friends with me to do that and Robert....well.....it was just too hot. :)[/caption]     [caption id="attachment_3504" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Marriage is compromise, right? We got a little golf in while at the beach. With views like this, I wasn't mad about it.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3506" align="aligncenter" width="650"] We did eventually make it to the beach....and....this happened. Can't take this guy anywhere.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_3508" align="aligncenter" width="650"] This is a picture after our last night at dinner. My body was ready for less food (and fruity drinks), but man was it hard to say goodbye to such an amazing trip after a sweet, fun wedding. I'm wearing our new Oh My Maxi Vest with a simple black tank and shorts.[/caption]   Now it's back to unpacking boxes and catching up on "thank you" notes. Until next time, Pura Vida everyone!
