I feel I'm running on empty. Anyone with me? Last week, while unloading my car for the second time and thinking about the third, I wondered what the heck Annie Claire and I got ourselves into. Just six weeks from my wedding date, we decided it was a brilliant idea to schedule three pop-ups in one week. I questioned our sanity. Then, I walked into BLEND Wine Bar and all hesitations were thrown out the window. Becca Baudry, the Girls Night Out planner who I give full credit to for this event, organized an amazing pop-up market. The setting, the food, the drinks, the people...everything was top notch and planned with so much care and heart. Through this pop-up, Annie Claire and I learned that collaboration is where it's at. Working with so many talented artists made Thursday night's pop-up a true team effort. It drew more people to the event and it allowed us to meet local vendors who are working through many of the same challenges as us. Having the opportunity to collaborate is always something we want to take advantage of and we were so happy to be a part of this one. We also learned that packing bags with extra inventory is no fun. Really, it's terrible. As our inventory continues to grow, we realize that we need to come up with a better solution for unloading, packing, restocking, etc. We'll have that covered before our next collab with April Mae BoutiqueETCHFaithLoveCraftKismet CosmeticsLittle EliMimosa by ME and Savannah Jane (because there will be a next). More to come about our pop-up at Baton Rouge Fashion Week tomorrow! Missed our recap of Wednesday night's pop-up on LSU's campus? Check out Annie Claire's blog post here
