Picture this. I get back from a work trip out of town at around 2 p.m. Chelsey is at a big meeting at work until 7 p.m. Amazon drops off a package with an important new SoSis tool at 4 p.m. (that I need to put together before 5:30 p.m.). I pack up the car with moving-sized suitcases (two to be exact) and make my way on to Louisiana State University's (LSU) campus questioning HOW Chel and I were going to pull this off. All of the above happened this past Tuesday, November 18 - the day we hosted our first ever pop-up shop. Sidenote, Chel and I are Tri-Delta alumni at LSU. When thinking of WHERE to host our first pop-up shop, we loved the idea of going back to the house and talking to the new generation of DDDs. The goal of the pop-up shop was to showcase our merchandise and tell our story. Despite our hectic days and rushed lives, everything came together perfectly and we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome! [caption id="attachment_1914" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Our new clothes rack (i.e. the important Amazon purchase that made a fashionably late appearance to the SoSis headquarters) was full of samples of all merchandise. The girls loved SEEING the quality of our products and many used the samples when trying on. If they needed a different size, we had it in the bag....literally....in two suitcases behind us. :)[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1916" align="aligncenter" width="800"] Check out our first generation SoSis branded bags, business cards and sale sign. We're pretty proud of our ability to do a lot with a little and like the way these showcased our brand.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_1915" align="aligncenter" width="800"] And after a long, ponytail wearing, suitcase packing, changing in the car kind of day, we did it (and it felt so good)![/caption] The pop-up shop showed us what we already knew - people like to see, touch and feel the quality of our clothing when they experience us for the first time. And there's just something about trying on clothes with some of your closest friends that's really special. They get to tell you "that looks amazing on you," when it really, really does....and that's pretty damn cool. I put all of my heart into picking out the perfect merchandise for SoSis. Quality and price point are key to me. It was personally satisfying to talk to customers in person and hear their opinions of "my babies."
