Work with What You Got!

When Chel and I were dreaming up the SoSis concept, we really wanted to try to set ourselves apart from the many options shoppers have when browsing online. We choose to carry trendy clothes because we wanted our pieces to make a statement - push you outside of your comfort zone and into trying something new. I know a lot of consumers are apprehensive when it comes to buying super trendy pieces of clothing. What do I wear it with? How many times am I really going to wear this? The list goes on... However, I'm here to tell you that there IS a way to add these trends to your everyday wardrobe. If you are on the go all the time like me and often throw your hair in a messy bun, put on your favorite white tee, jeans and booties. Then, top it off with one of these statement outerwear pieces.  You just can't go wrong!  The key is to start with what you already have in your closet. [caption id="attachment_1633" align="alignnone" width="800"]103014-WorkWhatYouGot-1 My first look features our Don't be a Square vest, a simple black jersey dress that I got years ago from H&M and Dolce Vita booties. The Stackable Bracelets and the Stone Cold Necklace are perfect to add personality to any basic outfit. Everyone has a little black dress, maybe even many little black dresses. Don't be afraid to spice it up with a great layering piece like this vest![/caption]   [caption id="attachment_1635" align="alignnone" width="800"]103014-WorkWhatYouGot-3 One of my favorite trends right now is this cape-let style jacket. If you are looking to add one thing to your outfit that will make you stand out, our Don't be Blue Capelet Jacket is it. Everyone has their number one go-to white tee. Mine is the 'boyfriend tee' from Target. Next, grab your favorite pair of skinny or straight leg jeans that you can cuff at the bottom to show off the bootie. The jeans pictured here are a boutique find, but you can find similar here! These Dolce Vita booties are from last season and I found them on sale at zappos.com. Accessories, of course, are made by Annie Claire Designs and can be found here.[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_1634" align="alignnone" width="800"]103014-WorkWhatYouGot-2 Next look features the Mrs. Potter Jacket, a plain white tee, skinny jeans, booties and accessories. Again, all of these items were things I already had in my closet that would pair well with my new, trendy outerwear. Work with what you got and add trendy pieces to complete your look![/caption]   See, I can be practical and I'm not that much of a shopaholic after all.  ;)
