I can vaguely remember my first Mother's Day six years ago. Geez, has it been that long?!  I had Aubree in April that year, so she was a fresh 1.5 month old. Things were all so new to me, and I didn't know what the heck I was doing. All I really knew was that things had changed in the best way! Aubree was the snuggliest little baby and would only take a nap when she was laying on my chest.  She never really was great at taking naps in other conditions.

Fast forward to the next year's Mother's Day and I was celebrating being a soon-to-be mom of two! It all happened so fast that I didn't have time to even think about what I was doing and if it was the right or wrong thing. I just rolled with it and knew that God had this plan all along.

Boy aren't we now so thankful we have our little Gracie Boo in this world! She was seriously the perfect baby and LOVED taking naps, which was great for mommy ;)

This Season of Life

It's funny how different siblings can be.  I know other moms can relate to this, but when it's your own, it's fascinating to watch your two children raised the same way learn and grow into their own little person.  Six years has FLOWN by and sometimes I have major baby fever, wishing they were little again.

Right now, in our "season" of life, we are busy little bees, I tell ya.  Aubree, my oldest, is in tumbling, dance and plays T-ball.  We are trying to figure out what she really loves because right now, she loves them ALL!

Gracie Boo is only in dance right now and absolutely shines on stage. She loves it and I think she will definitely stick with it.

Brad, my husband, has been coaching both girls at home in T-Ball. Growing up, I was never into sports, so it's so fun to watch something new! Gracie is just a natural and Aubree can really slam the ball.  Maybe we will have a softball pitcher and catcher one day ;)

I know that whatever the girls choose to run with, it will be with all of their heart.  Something Brad and I try to teach them at a young age is to give it your all, be kind and love one another. Put God first and the rest will follow.

Overcoming Challenges

I think the most challenging part of this season is trying to juggle all of the extra activities, getting them where they need to be on time and officially going broke, ha! We work extremely hard to give our girls these extra curricular activities, along with a Catholic school education and it's not easy. Anyone else feel me?

Mothering guilt free

My advice to other moms out there is this: Don't feel guilty. You are doing the best you can in the best way that you possibly can. And if you need a break from the kids to get your nails done or have a night out with girlfriends, IT'S OK! Your kids will still love you the next day. No matter what, the way that you live your life changes when you have a child, but you can still BE YOU.

My philosophy is, take them with you! My girls are usually right there with me whether it be to work, running errands or getting my nails done. Sure, some people may look at me crazy when they are annoying the crap out of each other in the middle of Target, but I've learned to ignore the dirty looks a long time ago.

My "Mom" style

I have to be honest, my style hasn't really changed much after becoming a mom.  Sure, it's evolved to keep up with the trends, but I feel as though moms should wear whatever they feel the most comfortable in.

For a casual "Momiform," I lean towards a great pair of denim, a good flow-y basic tee paired with a belt and flat sandals. Throw on my best ACD's stack of bracelets and some fun earrings and I'm out the door! For date night, I'm wearing anything with fun details, like bell sleeves or a bright, colorful print that flatters my body type.

I love the trendiest pieces. I never was a crop top wearing kind of girl because my body isn't meant for that, but if it's a trendy piece that I feel confident in, you best believe I'm wearing it.

What I'm wearing:

Feeling Peachy Dress: $58 | Meet Me at the Crossroads Sandal: $28 | Love Me Like a Rock Earrings: $28 | Stackable Bracelets: $12 each
